Weak rand hits fuel, diesel prices

The petrol price for 93 unleaded petrol will drop 2 cents a litre next week.

95 unleaded will however cost 4 cents more per litre while diesel will set you back between 51 and 53 cents more for a litre.

The increases are due to a weaker currency in the last month.

The rand averaged 73 cents more against the US dollar in September.

This increased the costs paid for oil by the country.

Illuminating paraffin will also cost an added 67 cents per litre.
